April 24, Silsbee, TX - 74 miles

Today was a blur with very few photos. I remember leaving camp in the van and going to a convenience store in Coldspring. The next thing I knew I was rushing down the road to a rider that hit a dog. I am glad I am trained in CPR/First Aid but I would rather not use them. I spend most of the remainder of the day in the ER in Cleveland Medical Center having her get medical attention. All turned out well in the end. A quick trip to Walmart replaced the cracked helmet and we were off in search of our daily home in Silsbee, TX our last overnight in Texas (19 days). We have reached the 2000 mile mark today and have 1100 remaining.
